Team Trip 2009
Coach Angstadt brought information about soccer training/camp
for Cape Fear, NC. The available dates are 7/23/09-7/29/09,
(travel dates would be 7/22 and 7/29)
The
camp price per player:
$360 for 20 players attending
$420 for 16 or less
2 hours of technical training morning session
2 hours of tactical training evening session
2-3 friendly games
The
price includes the hotel room with 4 players per room with free
continental breakfast. All other meals and transportation are
not included.
At
the meeting we discussed that going to nearby Wrightsville Beach
during the mid-day hours would be a relatively inexpensive
"excursion" trip for some of the days. Other ideas for
excursions we discussed were historical sites and college campus
tours. Any of these extra trips are not included in the price.
The
camp is open to all current players and will include next year's
incoming freshman.
Parents and siblings will be offered discount hotel rooms in the
same hotel as the players. One hotel quote of $119 for
the Holiday Inn Express has been offered to us.
We
will be signing up for the trip at the next meeting on
February 11th, time 6:30pm. I hope to have more
information about the transportation options before the meeting
so that we will have a better idea of the total cost per
player. Transportation options include: attending adults
driving to and from, charter bus, or several rental vans. Once
we have the pricing for those options we will need to discuss it
at the next booster club meeting. We will also need to decide
if the club will be sponsoring all or part of the transportation
cost from our budget.
